Denim Fashion

Denim is a sturdy cotton twill fabric, typically blue, used for making jeans and other clothing. It is characterized by its diagonal ribbing on the reverse side, which is created by the weaving technique where the weft thread passes under two or more warp threads.

Originated in the city of Nîmes, France (hence the name “denim” from “de Nîmes”), and became popular in the 19th century as durable workwear.
