Nefertiti

Nefertiti

Nefertiti, whose name translates to “A Beautiful Woman Has Come,” was the great royal wife of King Akhenaten and a queen of Egypt during the 18th Dynasty, around 1353–36 BC.

Many people considered Nefertiti to be the most beautiful woman in Egypt during the 14th century BC. A famous bust of Nefertiti, now displayed in Berlin’s Neues Museum, is one of the most recognizable and copied pieces of art from ancient Egypt. The bust, created by the Egyptian sculptor Thutmose, has cemented Nefertiti’s legacy as an icon of beauty.
